The artist represented Louisville for the Frankfort Capitol building Christmas tree 2006. The hot air balloon was made from a Louisville grown gourd, hand painted 4 blue "fleur de lei" around the gourd and an old fashioned uniformed band in the hand-made basket. Ornament is approximately 12 inches tall and 6 inches at widest point. The artist found the natural markings on the gourd created an old world look.
